What a CO2 laser plotter does
A CO2 tube produces an infrared beam of roughly ten micrometres wavelength. Organic materials and plastics absorb it very well, so the laser cuts straight through a sheet in one pass - and, at lower power, engraves its surface instead.
The material list in the RBL 1610 specification is a practical cross-section of the work: acrylic, plywood, foam rubber, natural leather, corrugated board. Hence the usual buyers - signage, packaging, die-making, furniture and prototyping shops.
Three bed sizes
RBL 9060 is the 900 × 600 mm workshop format for short runs and engraving, optionally with a stronger 130 W tube. RBL 1390, at 1300 × 900 mm, is the all-round laser plotter for signage and industrial work. RBL 1610, at 1600 × 1000 mm, takes sheets that would otherwise have to be cut down first.
All three run Ruida control, which is widely used across CO2 plotters, so an operator who already knows the interface does not start from scratch.
CO2 lasers and metal

How much does a CO2 laser cutter cost?
Indicative net prices are shown on the machine cards above for the models that carry a catalogue price. Options add to the base figure: a stronger tube, chilling, extraction and a bed matched to your material.
What tube power for what material?
Tube power decides how thick a material you cut in a single pass, and how fast. Engraving and thin sheet are fine on the base power; thicker acrylic or plywood is worth a stronger tube - on RBL 9060 that is the 130 W option. We confirm the choice on material samples.
How does a CO2 laser plotter differ from fiber?
CO2 works on non-metals, fiber on metals. They are not competing versions of one machine but two different machines for two different jobs.
Does a laser plotter need extraction?
Yes. Cutting and engraving plastics and wood produces smoke and fumes that must be taken out of the workspace or through a filter. Extraction is planned together with the machine, not after it is installed.
